First-time login
When an encrypted message is sent to the user for the first time, the recipient will be prompted to go through the registration process to create an account in the Encrypted Message Exchange:
- The recipient gets the following email:

- After clicking Create your account and read your message link, the recipient will be redirected to the Encrypted Message Exchange to fill out the Activation Information and create the password for the profile:
Note: according to the password policy, the password should meet the requirements listed below. The password policy cannot be changed from the CONTROL PANEL.
- Password must be at least 8 characters in length and must include both upper- and lower-case letters.
- Special characters or numbers are not required but you may choose to include them.
- The policy limits the number of repeated characters to 3.
- Usernames are not allowed for authentication purposes.
- Historical passwords are limited to 3; you cannot reuse any of your previous passwords.
- Passwords do not expire.
- A challenge question is required, and the answer must be at least 4 characters long.
- Providing an alternate email is optional.
- A common password check is performed to ensure the security of your account.
- After 15 failed login attempts, there is a lockout period of 30 minutes.
3. After clicking Activate the recipient is prompted to sign in with the credentials that were just created:

If the recipient already has a profile in the Encrypted Message Exchange, the encrypted email notification will look like this:

The recipient should click on click here to open to view the message. It will redirect the recipient to the Encrypted Message Exchange where he will be prompted to enter an already existing set of credentials.
